my history with the muljat group north co.
In 2018 my husband and I both sold and purchased a home through the Muljat Group North with agent Julie Price! If you are looking for a real estate professional who meets you both professionally and also at a personal level Julie is your gal! After all, buying and selling a home is such a personal experience! It can be mentally, physically and financially exhausting so having the best team to support you as you walk through the process is of utmost importance! Julie and the Muljat Group North team, our inspector Dan Hicks and Whatcom Land Title company made each transaction run flawless (at least it felt that way to my family anyway)! Real estate can be tricky and having a team working for us that knows all of the ins and outs like the back of their hand has been a gift to my family! It's my understanding that this real estate team continues their education! As you probably know this is crucial with many professions and having the Muljat Group North team in our back pocket for all of real estate needs feels really good!
The Muljat Group North has asked me to share some of my favorite ways that we incorporate healthy living into our lifestyle at home! I am happy to spill the beans with you today and I am so excited to be working with this company that is invested in the wellbeing of our community as a whole! The process of loving others well in our community starts and end with the people who occupy the homes in our area! I feel honored that they have chosen me to share content on this valuable topic! Before I share some simple steps that you can take to obtain a healthier home, I want to tell you why my family started making the switch!! In short, my little family has faced a cancer diagnosis, I live with an autoimmune disease and I did not have the opportunity to care for our son in-utero during pregnancy; adoption. In a way we have found everything we have faced to be a blessing. We have overcome original diagnosis and we march on spending majority of our time around our healthier home and land from significant changes we have made! With my background and education being in the medical field I am no stranger to good health, illness and science at a molecular level. It wouldn't be fair of me to be visiting this healthier lifestyle topic and leave out the history of how our pioneers lived a much more clean, simple and toxin free lifestyle! Some might also say my husband and I are a little old fashioned with the products we use (they are plant based) and also because we don't live with cable television (haven't for years)! That's just a little history about us and this whole idea of simplifying certain aspects of our life, living a more pioneer minded lifestyle, trickles down into a simple mindset! Think simplicity when it comes to the products and methods we are using around our homes!
My family chooses to eliminate chemicals where we can (it's impossible to eliminate them all) to complement our wellbeing and overall health! When we use chemicals within the walls of our home they stay trapped unfortunately! The chemicals pollute our homes air rather than clean it. There is something to be said for simplifying certain aspects of our lives! Chemical use has been on the rise! A few examples of this is it's as a way to yield higher crops per acre and it is the main way many people clean their house (Dawn Dish Soap, Tide Laundry Pods, OxyClean Products, Lysol to name a few). There are literally hundreds of cleaning brands on the market to clean just one surface type! The question is, are the chemicals in these products that we use every single day necessary? I think that many people stick to what they know, what they have been doing for years or what they were taught. This comes in handy in many ways but as research with healing illness has come so far with time we have also learned more about the do's and don'ts of ingredients! We know that many of the chemicals found in over the counter products, both in personal and household care, are not good for us and they are just not all regulated in the United States! As you now know, my family decided a little over one year ago to make an effort towards living without the use of as many chemicals in and around our home as possible! Just like with anything, it's a process that we just had to get started with! We started by eliminating just one thing at a time. Baby steps are still steps moving in the right direction! chemical free household products
One of the easiest and most effective steps to a healthier home is to switch out the
cleaning products in your household! If you aren't already, change them from chemicals to plant-based products that work! Nothing nasty grows in the presence of the cleaning line we use and I strongly recommend it! We know it's supporting our health not depleting it in any way and they work really well! The power of plants is a big gift to us all! I literally use just one chemical free product to clean every surface in and around our home (it's true)! Our dining room table, glass windows, mirrors, granite countertops, our stainless-steel appliances and the list goes on! I use the Thieves household cleaner for all the things and the product is extremely simple to use! The solution comes ultra-concentrated so you just mix a capful with water in a spray bottle and give it a quick shake (yes, it bubbles up)! If I am tackling our oven or bathroom shower tile or I want our stainless-steel sink to shine I simply sprinkle baking soda across the surface area and spray this household cleaner right on top. I let it sit for a while then wipe it clean! My family has been solely using this product for over one year and we have zero complaints! The Thieves cleaning line has simplified our life, we feel good about the products we have been using within the walls of our home, and in a big way we have made a great investment in our health! If you have any questions about the Thieves line feel free to get in touch with me directly or leave a reply on this post! You can also head to shop the same products we use by clicking the button below! I recommend purchasing The Thieves Starter Kit. This will give you everything you need to get started! Shipped to your doorstep! All in one box!
Another really easy and fun household product switch to make is investing in 100% natural candles! It has taken me a year and a half to find this product in natural form! I stopped using the candles we had because they were polluting our home! You know that black stuff that goes into the air from the wick - that is chemical I could see and we just decided it was time to be done with that harm! Linda with Lulumiere based out of Seattle, Washington has created a large selection of pure candles for our household! She hand pours every artisan small batch candle - all inspired by the beautiful Pacific Northwest! Each candle is made with a cotton wick (you know the plant)! See my theme here?
My three favorite Lulumiere candles right now are

Gardening
Along the lines of us having a healthy home we created a garden space! I did not grow up around gardening! I had no experience with growing crops and I have killed a few plants in my day. Taking the time to figure out what crops worked well with my green thumb and talking to local nurseries has been the key for our successful garden. In short, don't give up because anyone can truly have a beautiful garden space! The space can be as small as an herb kitchen garden, a flower pot with potatoes in it or a large garden area in the ground! I believe that everyone is capable of gardening and now is the time to start preparing for the seasons of crops ahead! If you haven't yet, I encourage you to start thinking about possibly having a container garden or landscape garden area! We live in a neighborhood and have a pretty nice size garden! I think this is because we took our edger and a shovel to remove grass from where we wanted our garden space to be! We also plant crops in a couple of water troughs that my husband spray painted my favorite color with a 2-in-1 primer & paint to create more space! All of our herbs go in tall flower pots on our back patio and bonus, the rosemary keeps the mosquitos away! We have microgreens planted on our dining room table as a fun way to encourage our son to eat leaves! He loves adding microgreens to his meals!
We prefer to keep our garden area as natural and organic as possible! We use compost soil and chicken manure as fertilizer! If you are not sure what you should use just call or stop by your local nursery! Making sure our garden gets the right amount of sun and water helps things grow too but the real game changer is praying big over the space!! It truly amazes us every time we see multiple crops come from a small seed! Having a garden is such an uplifting feeling all Spring, Summer and Fall! Getting fresh produce right off of our doorstep has helped us consume more of it too! ![]()

For me, I will invest in both gold and real estate. No doubt gold is a non-income-generating asset. Many people invest in gold as a safe haven to limit potential losses in the event of a catastrophe. The stock market is in the longest bull run in history. The gold price may be volatile in the short term but definitely an excellent portfolio divers for the long term.

Bert and Freda were offered The Bungalow at Brookfield in exchange for Woodbine Cottage which was his tied cottage for his lifetime. Woodbine was then sold to Christine Barford.

Definitely agree with the first tip because you have to make sure your home is ready before you list it in the market. Improvements are really important and staging as well will help in getting the best possible price when selling your home. After the improvements, it is also good to get a professional photographer to take photos of your home that will highlight the areas of your home and help to attract potential buyers. Awesome blog by the way and thanks for sharing

Thank you for you tips on buying a home. I like how you said to get pre-approved to a mortgage before you start your house search. My husband and I are thinking about buying a home sometime soon.

” Financial Advisors ” …….Like in every field , there are A -1 advisors and mediocre or poor advisors . Many lack real knowledge and promote things where they ” earn ” a high commission . Before the market crashes , when it too high and irrational , I pull out of the market and bank the money . I have money in several different banks and over the years the banks ” financial advisors ” recommended that I have too much cash and should ” invest ” in Annuities . The problem is that they take a LARGE chunk of cash right off the top for themselves . I always hold cash until the market crashes and then I jump in and buy when everyone else has sold or is selling , therefore I buy Dirt Cheap . [ the year 2000 and 2008 ] Educate yourself and be cautious . I subscribe to numerous newsletters concerning economics and politics but I take everything with a grain of salt .

I’m going to write about my court drama at some point. Utter ridiculousness that I was forced in that direction. Starting small is exactly the way to go E.M. One property at a time and one that is definitely affordable. I’ve known people who have rented out their basements. I don’t know if I could do that…I’d prefer a bit of distance between myself and the tenants.

Our children assembled the planter on mother's day as a gift. It went together easily with a smudge of assistance from their dad. In it we planted a row of beans, carrots, spinach and broccoli. Within a few days we had sprouts and can't wait for our first vegetables to appear. This product is extremely well built, sturdy and attractive.
